No. That’s one of the key benefits of a same day crown. We use a digital intra oral scanner to take the impression which is clean, fast and accurate.
Every case is different but in general a single crown can be prepared, designed and produced in around 3 hours. This saves time, as all this can be completed in just a single visit.
This is one of the great things about this technology, – the material used to create your crown are highly aesthetic and can be characterised to create a good match with the surrounding teeth.
